  1. No I’m not ever buying a card used for mining. That shit is stupid. I’ll watch the video but I’m not doing it. I’m also not buying NVIDIA’s shitty prices until they bring it down more

  2. This is a myth. Mining does not degrade gpus. It's the heat that they generate during mining that degrades gpus. The same heat that is produced by hours of aaa gaming. Proper cooling solutions such as water cooling can prevent such degradation.

  3. My 1070 was bought second hand a year old used for gaming for 2 years then mined for a year and a half before it died.

When it started dying it would mine but essentially have only invalid shares constantly.

If you're buying a used mining card a few tests on it will help identify immediately if its faulty.

  4. My GTX 670 2 GB died 5 years ago, I stayed without GPU for 2 years, it was frustrating…then after my highschool graduation which came late… 3 years ago I bought a mining Gigabyte RX 570 4 GB from Aliexpress for like $125, Thankfully the GPU works perfectly, and I am happy with it, despite the temperature that goes to 89 in most of demanding games, I think cause the thermal paste was not applied to the GPU, but still a solid fighting GPU, after all these years, my GPU still works, and I'm still using it, sometimes I got weird flashes on my screen, one of the fans doesn't work properly exactly like in that part of the video 9:24 and sometimes when I boot my computer there's no display, I don't know if it's from the GPU or from my old System that I'm about to upgrade soon.

  5. I bought a secondhand rx580 4gb about a year ago, the owner said that he used them for 2 years for mining and he clean it twice a month, been running perfectly still to this date and can easily run games like ff xv and gta v for 70fps+ with 1080p medium-high graphic settings, bought it for 95$ at the time, I'd say its a really good deal

  6. Bought a used mining gtx 1070. Been using it for 2 years with no problems. Will get a rtx 3070 when it's low enough. Don't game that much, so don't see the reason getting the best and the latest.

  7. I'm a miner, and I do monthly cleanings, annual pad and paste replacement, I buy new fans whenever I can find them, and I check for dead fans hourly by monitoring card temps. I only have a tiny farm, and I actually have no intention of selling, because I'm planning on there being another bull market as it seems there always has been a consistent bull then bear then bull cycle to crypto. Bottom line is we miners depend on our hardware to pay our bills, and taking the time to do maintenance is cheaper than replacing said hardware. Chips don't burn up unless you mistreat them the point of failure is almost always a fan.

  8. Damn wargaming really are tryna bullshit to new players in adverts, as a long term player:
    1. It is pay to win.
    2. Alot of the tanks aren't historically accurate
3.it will likely cause you nothing but frustration and to lose alot of money 🙂
